Situated in Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur, Barangay Dulop is one of 44 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dulop had a population of 2,109. This made it the 4th largest of 44 barangays in Dumingag by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dulop accounted for approximately 4.31% of the total population of Dumingag, which stood at 48,881 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Dulop moving from 2,555 residents to 2,109 residents, an intercensal change of -17.5%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dulop as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
