According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Lower Landing had a population of 2,258. This made it the 3rd largest of 44 barangays in Dumingag by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lower Landing accounted for approximately 4.62% of the total population of Dumingag, which stood at 48,881 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Lower Landing changed from 2,218 to 2,258, a shift of +1.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Dumingag. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Lower Landing as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
