Barangay Rumang-ay

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Rumang-ay is one of the administrative divisions of Echague in Isabela, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Rumang-ay had a population of 658. This made it the 58th largest of 64 barangays in Echague by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Rumang-ay accounted for approximately 0.74% of the total population of Echague, which stood at 88,410 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Rumang-ay moving from 537 residents to 658 residents, an intercensal change of +22.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Rumang-ay is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Echague is a municipality comprising 64 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Rumang-ay, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
