Barangay Villa Fermin

Barangay Villa Fermin is a small barangay in the municipality of Echague, located in the province of Isabela, in the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Villa Fermin had a population of 921. This made it the 47th largest of 64 barangays in Echague by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Villa Fermin accounted for approximately 1.04% of the total population of Echague, which stood at 88,410 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 980 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 921 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -6.0%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Villa Fermin as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Echague is a municipality comprising 64 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Villa Fermin, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
