Barangay Villa Rey

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Villa Rey is one of the administrative divisions of Echague in Isabela, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Villa Rey had a population of 514. This made it the 60th largest of 64 barangays in Echague by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Villa Rey accounted for approximately 0.58% of the total population of Echague, which stood at 88,410 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 501 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 514 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +2.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Villa Rey as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Echague is a municipality comprising 64 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Villa Rey, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
