Barangay Maracuru

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Maracuru is one of the administrative divisions of Enrile in Cagayan, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Maracuru had a population of 834. This made it the 20th largest of 22 barangays in Enrile by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Maracuru accounted for approximately 2.27% of the total population of Enrile, which stood at 36,705 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Maracuru changed from 868 to 834, a shift of -3.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Enrile. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Maracuru as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Enrile is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Maracuru, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cagayan, which contains 820 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Maracuru ranks 589th by 2020 population.
