Situated in Enrique B. Magalona, Negros Occidental, Barangay Batea is one of 23 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

Magalona by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Batea accounted for approximately 2.27% of the total population of Enrique B. Magalona, which stood at 64,290 in the same census year.
