Barangay Agoho

Barangay Agoho forms part of Esperanza, a municipality in Masbate, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Agoho had a population of 1,127. This made it the 5th largest of 20 barangays in Esperanza by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Agoho accounted for approximately 6.43% of the total population of Esperanza, which stood at 17,534 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Agoho moving from 1,263 residents to 1,127 residents, an intercensal change of -10.8%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Agoho as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
