Barangay Almero

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Almero is one of the administrative divisions of Esperanza in Masbate, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Almero had a population of 543. This made it the 17th largest of 20 barangays in Esperanza by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Almero accounted for approximately 3.10% of the total population of Esperanza, which stood at 17,534 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Almero moving from 599 residents to 543 residents, an intercensal change of -9.3%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Almero as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
