Situated in Garchitorena, Camarines Sur, Barangay Mansangat is one of 23 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Mansangat had a population of 822. This made it the 15th largest of 23 barangays in Garchitorena by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. The barangay recorded 637 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 822 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +29.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Mansangat is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
