Barangay Sumaoy

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Sumaoy is one of the administrative divisions of Garchitorena in Camarines Sur, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sumaoy had a population of 2,163. This made it the 3rd largest of 23 barangays in Garchitorena by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sumaoy accounted for approximately 7.35% of the total population of Garchitorena, which stood at 29,436 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sumaoy moving from 1,718 residents to 2,163 residents, an intercensal change of +25.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
