Barangay III (Pob.)

Situated in Gasan, Marinduque, Barangay III (Pob.) is one of 25 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay III (Pob.) had a population of 565. This made it the 23rd largest of 25 barangays in Gasan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay III (Pob.) accounted for approximately 1.56% of the total population of Gasan, which stood at 36,197 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay III (Pob.) moving from 603 residents to 565 residents, an intercensal change of -6.3%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay III (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
