Barangay Centro Norte (Pob.)

Barangay Centro Norte (Pob.) forms part of Gattaran, a municipality in Cagayan, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Centro Norte (Pob.) had a population of 1,290. This made it the 17th largest of 50 barangays in Gattaran by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Centro Norte (Pob.) accounted for approximately 2.19% of the total population of Gattaran, which stood at 58,874 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,388 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,290 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -7.1%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Centro Norte (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Gattaran is a municipality comprising 50 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Centro Norte (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cagayan, which contains 820 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Centro Norte (Pob.) ranks 382nd by 2020 population.
