Barangay Centro Sur (Pob.)

Situated in Gattaran, Cagayan, Barangay Centro Sur (Pob.) is one of 50 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Centro Sur (Pob.) had a population of 2,131. This made it the 6th largest of 50 barangays in Gattaran by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Centro Sur (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.62% of the total population of Gattaran, which stood at 58,874 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,911 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,131 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +11.5%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Centro Sur (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
