Barangay Dummun

Situated in Gattaran, Cagayan, Barangay Dummun is one of 50 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dummun had a population of 1,750. This made it the 10th largest of 50 barangays in Gattaran by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dummun accounted for approximately 2.97% of the total population of Gattaran, which stood at 58,874 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Dummun moving from 1,266 residents to 1,750 residents, an intercensal change of +38.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dummun as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Gattaran is a municipality comprising 50 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dummun, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
