Barangay Lapogan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Lapogan is one of the administrative divisions of Gattaran in Cagayan, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lapogan had a population of 1,844. This made it the 9th largest of 50 barangays in Gattaran by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lapogan accounted for approximately 3.13% of the total population of Gattaran, which stood at 58,874 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lapogan moving from 1,862 residents to 1,844 residents, an intercensal change of -1.0%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. Barangay Lapogan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Gattaran is a municipality comprising 50 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lapogan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
