Barangay Camcuevas

Situated in General Macarthur, Eastern Samar, Barangay Camcuevas is one of 30 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Camcuevas had a population of 243. This made it the 18th largest of 30 barangays in General Macarthur by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Camcuevas accounted for approximately 1.69% of the total population of General Macarthur, which stood at 14,411 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 279 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 243 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -12.9%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Camcuevas as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

General Macarthur is a municipality comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Camcuevas, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Eastern Samar, which contains 597 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Camcuevas ranks 535th by 2020 population. The next BSKE is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, following the synchronized election schedule set by COMELEC Resolution No. 11191.
