Barangay Poblacion West

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Poblacion West is one of the administrative divisions of General Tinio in Nueva Ecija, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion West had a population of 2,012. This made it the 8th largest of 13 barangays in General Tinio by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion West accounted for approximately 3.60% of the total population of General Tinio, which stood at 55,925 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,751 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,012 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +14.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Poblacion West is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

General Tinio is a municipality comprising 13 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion West, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
