Barangay Poblacion 1

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Poblacion 1 is one of the administrative divisions of Gerona in Tarlac, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion 1 had a population of 2,986. This made it the 10th largest of 44 barangays in Gerona by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion 1 accounted for approximately 3.16% of the total population of Gerona, which stood at 94,485 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion 1 moving from 2,755 residents to 2,986 residents, an intercensal change of +8.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion 1 as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
