Barangay Santa Lucia

Barangay Santa Lucia forms part of Gerona, a municipality in Tarlac, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Santa Lucia had a population of 903. This made it the 44th largest of 44 barangays in Gerona by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santa Lucia accounted for approximately 0.96% of the total population of Gerona, which stood at 94,485 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 778 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 903 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +16.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Santa Lucia as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Gerona is a municipality comprising 44 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santa Lucia, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
