Barangay Santo Niño

Barangay Santo Niño is a small barangay in the municipality of Getafe, located in the province of Bohol, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Santo Niño had a population of 754. This made it the 22nd largest of 24 barangays in Getafe by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santo Niño accounted for approximately 2.26% of the total population of Getafe, which stood at 33,422 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Santo Niño moving from 768 residents to 754 residents, an intercensal change of -1.8%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Santo Niño as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Getafe is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santo Niño, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
