Barangay Quezon

Barangay Quezon is a small barangay in the municipality of Gitagum, located in the province of Misamis Oriental, in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Quezon had a population of 1,472. This made it the 5th largest of 11 barangays in Gitagum by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Quezon accounted for approximately 8.21% of the total population of Gitagum, which stood at 17,920 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Quezon moving from 1,166 residents to 1,472 residents, an intercensal change of +26.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Quezon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
