This made it the 8th largest of 31 barangays in Glan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Glan Padidu accounted for approximately 4.27% of the total population of Glan, which stood at 109,547 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,664 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,674 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +0.2%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. Barangay Glan Padidu is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Glan is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Glan Padidu, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
