Barangay Small Margus

Barangay Small Margus forms part of Glan, a municipality in Sarangani, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Small Margus had a population of 3,434. This made it the 13th largest of 31 barangays in Glan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Small Margus accounted for approximately 3.13% of the total population of Glan, which stood at 109,547 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Small Margus changed from 3,899 to 3,434, a shift of -11.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Glan. Barangay Small Margus is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Glan is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Small Margus, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
