Barangay Sufatubo

Situated in Glan, Sarangani, Barangay Sufatubo is one of 31 barangays that make up the municipality within SOCCSKSARGEN.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sufatubo had a population of 2,484. This made it the 19th largest of 31 barangays in Glan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sufatubo accounted for approximately 2.27% of the total population of Glan, which stood at 109,547 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Sufatubo changed from 2,571 to 2,484, a shift of -3.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Glan. Barangay Sufatubo is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Glan is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sufatubo, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Sarangani, which contains 141 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Sufatubo ranks 86th by 2020 population.
