Barangay Maligaya (Pob.)

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Maligaya (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Gloria in Oriental Mindoro, MIMAROPA Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Maligaya (Pob.) had a population of 3,265. This made it the 3rd largest of 27 barangays in Gloria by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Maligaya (Pob.) accounted for approximately 6.47% of the total population of Gloria, which stood at 50,496 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Maligaya (Pob.) changed from 3,246 to 3,265, a shift of +0.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Gloria. Barangay Maligaya (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Gloria is a municipality comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Maligaya (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
