Barangay Agcano

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Agcano is one of the administrative divisions of Guimba in Nueva Ecija, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Agcano had a population of 352. This made it the 64th largest of 64 barangays in Guimba by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Agcano accounted for approximately 0.28% of the total population of Guimba, which stood at 127,653 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 292 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 352 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +20.5%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Agcano is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Guimba is a municipality comprising 64 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Agcano, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
