Barangay Culong

Situated in Guimba, Nueva Ecija, Barangay Culong is one of 64 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Culong had a population of 2,444. This made it the 20th largest of 64 barangays in Guimba by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Culong accounted for approximately 1.91% of the total population of Guimba, which stood at 127,653 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Culong changed from 2,268 to 2,444, a shift of +7.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Guimba. Barangay Culong is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Guimba is a municipality comprising 64 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Culong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
