Barangay Macatcatuit

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Macatcatuit is one of the administrative divisions of Guimba in Nueva Ecija, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Macatcatuit had a population of 2,529. This made it the 19th largest of 64 barangays in Guimba by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Macatcatuit accounted for approximately 1.98% of the total population of Guimba, which stood at 127,653 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,309 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,529 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.5%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Macatcatuit is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Guimba is a municipality comprising 64 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Macatcatuit, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
