Barangay Bungahan

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Bungahan is one of the administrative divisions of Gumaca in Quezon, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bungahan had a population of 247. This made it the 49th largest of 59 barangays in Gumaca by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bungahan accounted for approximately 0.34% of the total population of Gumaca, which stood at 71,942 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Bungahan changed from 242 to 247, a shift of +2.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Gumaca. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bungahan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Gumaca is a municipality comprising 59 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bungahan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
