Barangay Mabuco

Barangay Mabuco is a large barangay in the municipality of Hermosa, located in the province of Bataan, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Mabuco had a population of 5,496. This made it the 5th largest of 23 barangays in Hermosa by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mabuco accounted for approximately 7.10% of the total population of Hermosa, which stood at 77,443 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Mabuco moving from 3,238 residents to 5,496 residents, an intercensal change of +69.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Mabuco as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Hermosa is a municipality comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mabuco, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bataan, which contains 237 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Mabuco ranks 51st by 2020 population. Bataan is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
