Barangay Santo Niño

Situated in Hilongos, Leyte, Barangay Santo Niño is one of 51 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

This made it the 49th largest of 51 barangays in Hilongos by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santo Niño accounted for approximately 0.57% of the total population of Hilongos, which stood at 64,514 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 385 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 366 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -4.9%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Santo Niño is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
