Barangay Salaban II

Barangay Salaban II is a small barangay in the municipality of Ibaan, located in the province of Batangas, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Salaban II had a population of 1,304. This made it the 20th largest of 26 barangays in Ibaan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Salaban II accounted for approximately 2.23% of the total population of Ibaan, which stood at 58,507 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,271 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,304 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +2.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Salaban II as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Ibaan is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Salaban II, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
