Barangay Corucuan

Situated in Igbaras, Iloilo, Barangay Corucuan is one of 46 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Corucuan had a population of 662. This made it the 23rd largest of 46 barangays in Igbaras by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Corucuan accounted for approximately 2.06% of the total population of Igbaras, which stood at 32,197 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 621 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 662 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +6.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Corucuan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
