Barangay Kinagdan

Situated in Igbaras, Iloilo, Barangay Kinagdan is one of 46 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Kinagdan had a population of 557. This made it the 28th largest of 46 barangays in Igbaras by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Kinagdan accounted for approximately 1.73% of the total population of Igbaras, which stood at 32,197 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 598 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 557 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -6.9%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Kinagdan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Igbaras is a municipality comprising 46 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Kinagdan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
