Barangay 1 (Pob.)

Situated in Indang, Cavite, Barangay 1 (Pob.) is one of 36 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay 1 (Pob.) had a population of 1,342. This made it the 26th largest of 36 barangays in Indang by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay 1 (Pob.) accounted for approximately 1.95% of the total population of Indang, which stood at 68,699 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,311 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,342 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +2.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay 1 (Pob.) is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Indang is a municipality comprising 36 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay 1 (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
