Barangay Bacong

Barangay Bacong is a small barangay in the municipality of Infanta, located in the province of Quezon, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bacong had a population of 959. This made it the 27th largest of 36 barangays in Infanta by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bacong accounted for approximately 1.26% of the total population of Infanta, which stood at 76,186 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bacong moving from 896 residents to 959 residents, an intercensal change of +7.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bacong as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Infanta is a municipality comprising 36 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bacong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
