Barangay Potol

Situated in Infanta, Pangasinan, Barangay Potol is one of 13 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Potol had a population of 854. This made it the 12th largest of 13 barangays in Infanta by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Potol accounted for approximately 3.25% of the total population of Infanta, which stood at 26,242 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 741 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 854 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +15.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Potol is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Infanta is a municipality comprising 13 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Potol, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
