Barangay San Agustin (Pob.)

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay San Agustin (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Irosin in Sorsogon, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Agustin (Pob.) had a population of 2,334. This made it the 10th largest of 28 barangays in Irosin by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Agustin (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.94% of the total population of Irosin, which stood at 59,267 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Agustin (Pob.) changed from 2,125 to 2,334, a shift of +9.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Irosin. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Agustin (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Irosin is a municipality comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Agustin (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
