Barangay San Julian (Pob.)

Barangay San Julian (Pob.) is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Irosin, located in the province of Sorsogon, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Julian (Pob.) had a population of 2,273. This made it the 12th largest of 28 barangays in Irosin by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Julian (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.84% of the total population of Irosin, which stood at 59,267 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Julian (Pob.) changed from 2,431 to 2,273, a shift of -6.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Irosin. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Julian (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Irosin is a municipality comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Julian (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Sorsogon, which contains 541 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Julian (Pob.) ranks 93rd by 2020 population.
