Barangay Santo Rosario

Barangay Santo Rosario is a small barangay in the municipality of Isabel, located in the province of Leyte, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Santo Rosario had a population of 853. This made it the 16th largest of 24 barangays in Isabel by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santo Rosario accounted for approximately 1.82% of the total population of Isabel, which stood at 46,781 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Santo Rosario changed from 962 to 853, a shift of -11.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Isabel. Barangay Santo Rosario is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Isabel is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santo Rosario, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
