Barangay Caliclic

Barangay Caliclic is a mid-sized barangay in the city of Island Garden City of Samal, located in the province of Davao Del Norte, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Caliclic had a population of 3,003. This made it the 10th largest of 46 barangays in Island Garden City of Samal by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Caliclic accounted for approximately 2.57% of the total population of Island Garden City of Samal, which stood at 116,771 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,383 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,003 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +26.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Caliclic is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Island Garden City of Samal is a city comprising 46 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Caliclic, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Davao Del Norte, which contains 223 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Caliclic ranks 102nd by 2020 population.
