Barangay Cuyago

Barangay Cuyago forms part of Jabonga, a municipality in Agusan Del Norte, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cuyago had a population of 1,949. This made it the 4th largest of 15 barangays in Jabonga by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cuyago accounted for approximately 7.84% of the total population of Jabonga, which stood at 24,855 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cuyago moving from 1,883 residents to 1,949 residents, an intercensal change of +3.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cuyago as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Jabonga is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cuyago, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Agusan Del Norte, which contains 253 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Cuyago ranks 84th by 2020 population.
