Barangay San Jose

Situated in Jaen, Nueva Ecija, Barangay San Jose is one of 27 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Jose had a population of 3,604. This made it the 10th largest of 27 barangays in Jaen by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Jose accounted for approximately 4.55% of the total population of Jaen, which stood at 79,189 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Jose changed from 3,312 to 3,604, a shift of +8.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Jaen. Barangay San Jose is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Jaen is a municipality comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Jose, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
