Barangay Looc

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Looc is one of the administrative divisions of Jagna in Bohol, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Looc had a population of 639. This made it the 24th largest of 33 barangays in Jagna by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Looc accounted for approximately 1.78% of the total population of Jagna, which stood at 35,832 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 740 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 639 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -13.6%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Looc is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Jagna is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Looc, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
