Barangay Esperanza

Barangay Esperanza is a small barangay in the municipality of Jamindan, located in the province of Capiz, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Esperanza had a population of 943. This made it the 22nd largest of 30 barangays in Jamindan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Esperanza accounted for approximately 2.44% of the total population of Jamindan, which stood at 38,670 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Esperanza moving from 922 residents to 943 residents, an intercensal change of +2.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Esperanza is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
