Barangay Solana

Barangay Solana is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Jasaan, located in the province of Misamis Oriental, in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Solana had a population of 4,566. This made it the 6th largest of 15 barangays in Jasaan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Solana accounted for approximately 8.00% of the total population of Jasaan, which stood at 57,055 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Solana moving from 4,136 residents to 4,566 residents, an intercensal change of +10.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Solana as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Jasaan is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Solana, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Misamis Oriental, which contains 504 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Solana ranks 44th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
