Barangay No. 2 (Pob.)

Barangay No. 2 (Pob.) is a very small barangay in the municipality of Jiabong, located in the province of Samar, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay No. 2 (Pob.) had a population of 218. This made it the 28th largest of 34 barangays in Jiabong by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay No. 2 (Pob.) accounted for approximately 1.14% of the total population of Jiabong, which stood at 19,205 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 191 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 218 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +14.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay No. 2 (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Jiabong is a municipality comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay No. 2 (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Samar, which contains 951 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay No. 2 (Pob.) ranks 844th by 2020 population.
