Barangay Eli

Situated in Jimalalud, Negros Oriental, Barangay Eli is one of 28 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Eli had a population of 1,709. This made it the 5th largest of 28 barangays in Jimalalud by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Eli accounted for approximately 5.30% of the total population of Jimalalud, which stood at 32,256 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Eli moving from 1,670 residents to 1,709 residents, an intercensal change of +2.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Eli is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
