Barangay Sinara Alto

Situated in Jimenez, Misamis Occidental, Barangay Sinara Alto is one of 24 barangays that make up the municipality within Northern Mindanao.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sinara Alto had a population of 760. This made it the 15th largest of 24 barangays in Jimenez by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sinara Alto accounted for approximately 2.63% of the total population of Jimenez, which stood at 28,909 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 697 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 760 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sinara Alto as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Jimenez is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sinara Alto, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
